Another two book week. I would have said I read more but I guess not.
I did play around with some world building books but didn’t finish them so will not review them. It wasn’t that they were bad books but they didn’t catch my interest.
I did read another Peter Robinson book, Watching the Dark, which I quite liked. This was a more recent one and I did enjoy that. He’s on my list to have the library hold some more books so I can read those too. I like the series. I’m not sure I’m as engaged as I am with some of the other series books but I do enjoy them. Definitely recommend for a good read.
I also read the latest Elly Griffiths’ Ruth Galloway novel, Outcast Dead. I liked this one too and some things are getting resolved. She had all these romances that could never be going on and one actually does get a bit resolved although it was difficult for the parties involved. I also liked that she paid less attention to the fact that Ruth was fat. No longer is she a glutton who has to eat everything. She can just be fat and eat normally, which I liked. And the story of course was another dark, slightly mysterious one that kept me interested the whole time. Definitely a worthwhile read.
