So this week I continued on with my Peter Robinson reading.
First I read Strange Affair. This one grabbed me a little more quickly than Grave Innocents. I really need to work on reading the whole series so I know what happened between Banks and Annie Cabot. It’s flashed back but I don’t have the entire story and I’m curious now! Strange Affair was quite a good suspense read.
I got Lisa Gardner’s Fear Nothing in this week as well. I like D.D. Warren and this was good, although it was frustrating to have D.D. injured during the entire book. The actual resolution was a bit too obvious but there was still plenty of tension in the book.
Finally, I got another Peter Robinson (libraries are like that and I read a lot from the library), Friend of the Devil. I’m enjoying this one. However, like all of his, there are places where it starts to drag.
I am still reading Story Engineering which has some good material. I just wish the tone of the book wasn’t so pompous about how this is the only way to do things
