Thinking about Whisper

I don’t know if I’ll write more Whisper books. Currently there are ten books in the series. I loved writing this series, probably more than other series that I have. It’s not really urban fantasy, merely a central contemporary fantasy and as a genre that’s hard to break into.

I notice that while it’s an early series, the reviews are better than later series that might be more well-written, probably because I didn’t love writing those the way I loved writing Whisper. I need to go back to that.

But should you read Whisper? There are flaws in it, of course, but people have enjoyed those stories. Whisper Bound should be free at all retailers (Amazon has a habit of deciding to charge). There are also omnibus books filled with the rest of the series if you enjoy it. Or you can subscribe to my newsletter and pick up three free short stories that take place in Whisper.
