Thanksgiving 2021

Here in the United States it’s Thanksgiving.

And I’m cooking for me and my husband. A turkey breast is in the crockpot (and will go in the oven for half an hour or so to brown up the skin on top). I have stuffing bread broken up into little pieces and I just need to mix in all the fixings. Potatoes are ready to cook. The peas are easy. My husband likes pumpkin pie so he makes that. I’m not a huge fan.

My mom used to make pecan pie for Thanksgiving and now and then I decide to make one. However, a full pie is a bit too much for one person so I rarely do.

But today will be filled with phone calls to family and eating too much. And being grateful for the fact that I have people who purchase my books and a husband willing to be supportive of my writing until I can actually help out the household bills with this career.
