The Louisville Imaginarium Convention was last weekend. I sat on two panels. The Kickstarter panel was probably my favorite, although I got to speak a lot more at the Creating Critters panel.
I got to meet some new authors and heard one excellent talk and several others that offered some interesting tidbits.
The Imaginarium is a small convention so if anyone is thinking of going, it’s not overwhelming. It’s also open to all genres so you’ll see mystery writers as well as science fiction and fantasy writers alongside romance writers. There are plenty of writers and artists with booths where you can purchase books and merchandise.
I didn’t do a vendor table this year. I hadn’t actually gotten to go to any panels when I manned the vendor table for the Cat Writers Association and I wanted to experience that part of the convention as well.
Next year, perhaps I’ll pair up with another writer and rope my husband into coming so that I can do both. We’ll see what else is happening the weekend it’s held.
In addition to visiting conferences and meeting people in person, I also uploaded my short story for the Uncollected Anthology for pre-orders. You can find that here.
And the book sale for creepy summer mysteries is still going on! Don’t miss out.
